Nokia N73 Battery Life
I just got a full 4 days out of my new N73 - which I'm very impressed with by the way. What's with that? I've seen a N80 bum out in 8 hours with heavy use. Ok, ok - I switched it off for about 6 hours of sleep a night - but still.
I have a feeling this goodwill of mine will end as soon as I talk to someone who has had the balls to try out the N95 :)

I doubt that very much. The N95 apparently has a terrible battery life. This is a big disappointment to me and I am weighing up the benefits of the N95 against the likely need to charge it every day before I rush off and get one.
ReplyDeleteYip - perhaps my english was a little delicious. I've heard only bad things about N-series battery life. Such a pity - but processor / RAM obviously hasn't caught up with the Lithium Ion side of things
ReplyDeleteHmm... when I first got it it was factory charged and it lasted about 3 days. Now a day after it's charged it's lost 3 of the bars with minimal use? Is there a certain length of time you're supposed to charge it when you first charge it?
ReplyDeleteWell, they say a full 18 hour charge or so.. but as I understand it, that was more for the the Nickel Metal Hydride batteries from MUCH older phones. Most phones these days are Lithium Ion - supposedly they don't develop a "memory" - hence no need for consistent charging.
ReplyDeleteSwitch 3G off if you don't use it. It's a batter muncher.
I have the nokia N73 that can only last one day. It is set to use dual networks which I think uses a lot of battery power..Now I can either set it to GSM (normal gprs) or UMTS (3G)..I hear 3G uses a lot of battery power but I like the speed so which one do you guys suggest I use?
ReplyDelete3G just kills the n73 battery. Only use it if you HAVE to. You'll get an extra day by switching to GSM only...
